Integrative Pediatric Consultation

When families say “holistic” or “wellness,” this is what we mean

Integrative pediatrics

Integrative pediatrics combines the best of conventional medicine with evidence-informed lifestyle, nutrition, and mind-body support.

We use pediatric medicine as the safety guardrails (especially for infections, emergencies, and serious symptoms), while also addressing the “in-between” concerns that don’t fit a quick prescription.

Holistic pediatric care

Holistic care means we zoom out. In babies and young children, sleep, feeding, digestion, skin, environment, and daily rhythms are tightly connected.

We look at the full picture, not just one symptom, because early patterns shape long-term resilience.

Wellness

Wellness is proactive and focuses on building resilience, preventing problems when possible, and creating routines that support your child’s long-term growth and thriving, not just managing illness when it shows up.

Why families seek integrative care

Conventional pediatrics is excellent at identifying serious illness, providing urgent care and management of infectious disease (antibiotics and vaccines). Families often add integrative consults when they want:

  • More time and deeper listening, and a plan (not just reassurance)
  • Support for common early-life concerns: feeding, sleep, reflux/constipation, picky eating, eczema, frequent colds.
  • Help identifying patterns and triggers (Routines, nutrition, environment, stress load)
  • Conservative guidance on supplements (no hype, no overload)
  • Clear next steps and coordinated referrals when needed

This is not “either/or.” Many families keep their primary pediatrician and use integrative consults as an added layer of support.

The Pillars of Integrative Health

Feeding & Nutrition

Breastfeeding, formula feeding, solids, picky eating, and food-first support for growth and gut comfort.

Sleep & Regulation

Age-appropriate sleep foundations that support mood, learning, and family rhythms.

Movement & Development

Tummy time to toddler play. Supporting motor milestones and healthy sensory input.

Stress + Mind-Body

Tools for regulation: routines, co-regulation, and realistic strategies for real families.

Environment

Practical low-toxin “quick wins” that reduce exposures without going extreme.

Connection + Community

Because parent support, community, and sustainable routines protect health too.

Integrative Wellness Consult

A comprehensive, personalized plan to strengthen foundations and simplify next steps

This is a wellness blueprint for families who have a child with no major medical concerns, but want a full review of their child’s health patterns. We review your child’s story, identify the highest-yield “foundation levers” (sleep, feeding, digestion, environment, routines), and create phased next steps you can realistically implement.
When labs or referrals are appropriate, we use them thoughtfully and selectively, with a clear clinical reason.

Who is this visit for?

  • You want guidance that goes beyond “wait and see,” while staying practical and pediatric-safe
  • Your baby or toddler has recurring concerns (sleep struggles, reflux/constipation, feeding stress, picky eating, mild eczema, frequent colds)
  • You want help simplifying decisions about nutrition and supplements without hype or overload
  • You want a plan that complements your child’s current pediatric care (not a replacement)

This consult is a great starting point when you’re not sure which path fits best.

What we cover?

  • Review your child’s health story: pregnancy/birth history, feeding history, growth trends, symptoms, routines, and family history
  • Identify the highest-yield “foundation levers” for early life (sleep, feeding, digestion, environment, stress load, daily rhythms)
  • Create a stepwise plan you can implement in phases (so it doesn’t feel like a full-time job)
  • Consider targeted labs only when the history and exam suggest a clear clinical question (no fishing expeditions)
  • Coordinate referrals when needed (OT, feeding therapy, lactation, GI, allergy, behavioral support)

What you’ll receive

  • A personalized Foundations Plan with priorities and phased steps
  • Practical routines and “quick wins” tailored to your household
  • Nutrition guidance and conservative supplement recommendations when appropriate
  • Clear follow-up options so you’re not left guessing what to do next

What we do not provide

  • We do not replace your child’s primary pediatrician for urgent concerns, emergencies, or routine vaccine visits
  • We do not recommend broad testing without a specific clinical question
  • We do not push expensive supplements, rigid protocols, or extreme diets

Not sure where to begin? This is the best first step for early-life integrative support.
